Carson Concrete information

Carson Concrete, a Boothwyn, Pennsylvania, business, has completed more than 800 major projects in locations from Philadelphia to Florida. The company is capable of building a wide range of structure types, from landmark high-rise apartment, hotel, and office towers to utilitarian parking garages and power plants.

Carson Concrete Corporation has been in the business of placing concrete for over 35 years. In 1977, Anthony Samango Jr. started the company after working in the construction industry for many years. Now, he and his son, Anthony Samango III, who serves as the company’s Vice President, manage large projects up and down the Eastern Seaboard. Since Carson Concrete owns its own tower cranes and heavy equipment, subcontractors are used sparingly; the firm’s team of nearly hundreds of employees works each concrete job from beginning to end, and all work is done in accordance with the high standards of quality, speed, and safety set forth by the firm.

Carson Concrete has many high-profile projects to its credit, including work done at Temple University, Drexel University, and The University of Pennsylvania. The company has also placed concrete at many other work sites, including office towers, hotels, high-rise residential buildings, and health care facilities. Some of the projects Carson Concrete takes pride in having worked on include two of the Waterfront Square condominiums, the Dockside Residences at Pier 30, and Franklin Mills, the largest discount mall in the United States at the time it was built. Anthony Samango III noted recently, “Since 1977, [Carson has] completed more than 800 jobs, poured millions of yards of concrete, set 30,000,000 square feet of formwork, and placed 100,000 U.S. tons of rebar.”

One of the largest of Carson Concrete’s recent projects is Citizens Bank Park, the new home of Major League Baseball’s Philadelphia Phillies. Carson’s trucks poured over 60,000 cubic yards of concrete throughout the stadium and surrounding grounds, including 200,000 square feet of elevated deck. The ability within Carson Concrete to adapt to changing technologies and standards over the past 35 years attests to the quality of its work, particularly as Anthony Samango III moves into a larger leadership role within the firm.
